K Naan on Cypher Sounds
If there is one person we salute on this site more than any other US/African artist it has to be K Naan, although we haven’t managed to share a lot of his music here (Mainly due to record label issues and distribution restrictions). I thought it was important to share this video with some of the Kenyan users accessing the site from the 254.
This video clip is from the Cypher Sounds – these were intermission sets that acted like fillers for the BET hiphop awards a few months ago. But I think its just big for K Naan to be amongst some of this big heavy weights. And to deliver that freestyle (“My Nigerian thugs will call you suuzeeeee”)… it was sick…

This is crazy.ive personally watched BET 2008 Hiphop awards n i was very proud of the born Somali Knaan who freestyled amoung the likes of Hurricane Chris,there is alot of untapped talent in Africa n soon ul notice every american artist is yearning to collabo with an African.”Its the African way”
