Brand New : Kleptomaniacs feat Scar – Come Closer

Kleptomaniacs

I got my hand on some new Kleptomaniacs hit, I am not sure what to make out of this track apart from one fact – Its definitely ULOPA NGOMA – Speaking of which I just found out that Ulopa is Gido’s nephew, which means he is a Kibukosya – that being said it would explain why this cat is unstoppable – he musta spent all his childhood life in the studios. His beats are too fresh, and so far I am unable to pin point a signature beat. He changes like a Chameleon and everything he does seems to stick (golden touch – maybe we should change his name to Golden boy).

This track sounds so dirty south – yet so Kapuka so I am conflicted, I am not sure which bucket to put it into. I am continuously impressed by Klepto, their different singles as individuals were all hits, their songs collectively are hits – Collo is a ridiculous lyrists – Roba is relaxed and Nyash is the ish! Enjoy the track – I would play this on US radio without thinking twice. It feels like Lil John is in the background – It just might be Ulopa himself :-)

Anyone with info on SCAR – please enlighten us..

Props on the post. I world premiered this song last week on the radio and as one caller said, the sounds and the beat are on some “futuristic level”. I heard there is a video floating around too. Anyone!!!!!

uwongo mbaya, this song is ooofff the hook!!!!! its just further testament of how good ulopa is. the beat is tight, the rapping is first class(of course its klepto). the electric guitar at the end puts the icing on the cake. a great kenyan song that is not a kapuka beat, fantastic.

this track was banging when it was accidentally posted as Harry kimani feat abbas for happiness last week……..and its still banging now……what i like about klepto is that they showed the fans that they will always do different types of music-mupende musipende…..and the fans went with it……as a fan, i have followed n loved when they did kapuka(swing swing) and even when they were killer rappers(tuendeleee)….thats whats lacking with other kenyan artists-DIVERSITY(remember…..”unafaa ufanye hip-hop na other tracks”)…..combine klepto’s flows with Ulopas production……wah…..simply magic…..a match made in klepto-Lopas heaven….nice 1….respect

  6. kenyanised says:

  7. gogo says:

scar is actually from botswana sorry

  8. kimgitz says:

The album is called N.I.T.T “Now Is The Time”….Personally the news that these cats will not be churning out hits is so sad…(I seriously disagree it is that time yet) atleast I can still look out for more Ulopa on the Cut!

    My ad-libs got hiccups!!!

K-Nel unleashed a diss track against Gogo. We Gogo si nilikuambia ukadhani ni mchezo. Check out K-Nel’s blog page http://www.anglohilimusic.blogspot.com. Sasa prove to wasanii what you can au tu nikuongea mingi kama kawaida. Na bado. Getmziki hit me about the hiphop site tafadhali.

  10. gogo says:

thanks for the info asumpta but that link is broken and the imeem file is not playing so i havent had the chance to laugh at his wack blurb! But this sunday i will release my reply to that joint despite the fact i havent heard it, his response is predictable… and i will also respond to the lies posted on his blog! hahaha
    GOGO!

  11. Lisa says:

@ Kenyanised i believe the name of the album is NITT…Now Is The Time.
off the hook would be an understatement for this song…its straight up FIRE…top notch iishh!!!! Sets the bar higher for other Kenyan ‘Hiphop’ artists that really need to step up they game…They all did their thing on this one Klepto never seem to dissapoint and Ulopa midas touch wacha tuu!
For a lil midget scar can really get it on the mic…impressive

  12. supafly says:

the song is timam but sounds like ayo technology by 50… but good…

  13. Mark says:

No offense to all the previous posters lakini I am not feeling this song at all. Sounds too wanna-be-ish. Definitely not hit material…just my personal opinion. Btw…there is something about the tastes of most regular getmziki contributors on here…seems to be the same most of the time. You can think it’s the same person posting comments using different handles…just a thought.

  14. Roddy says:

Gogo Mzeiyah…we waitin’ for your response to K-Nel, so far he’s got the edge. Convince me otherwise ama

  15. jigger says:

  16. jigger says:

By tha time u are done listening u will say ULOPA IS HOT au vipi Roddy.

  17. DJ Clap says:

Roddy I agree. I tried warning Gogo lakini chali alijifanya kichwa Ngumu. I heard exclusive material and K-Nel is what he told him: A BEAST. He will expose Gogo real bad and am sorry to say it now; Gogo, you made a monkey out of yourself. I have heard 4 freestyles K-Nel going hard, I mean ugly material. The next one will be a freestyle named GOGO DANCER na usitake kujua what’s the package. Cover with Gogo’s pic dressed like a hook up, lip stick and all that. Huyu jamaa is on another kweli, why lie! Have you seen the response about Gogo’s diss track on his blog plus facebook? Getmziki am not acting like K-Nel’s advocate here but Gogo needs to change name after what is about to happen.
This song is hot material and Leo I like your comment on the last post you did.

  18. gogo says:

Back home in MOmbasa, ladies say PANUA PAJA GOGO LAJA! I okay, this morning i had five minutes to spare and decided to talk to K-nel for a second! HERE GOES…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-GSPbhD3Xg

  20. K-NEL says:

    Hallo Gogo,

Thanks for the 7 Rhymes you blablablad. Sorry dude, but you are really WHACKKKK! Can’t afford a studio dude to record a track with good quality? Heard about mixing and mastering a song? Your vocals sound like they were recorded in a pit. Cant even hear the beat. The video edit you did ith your mac was also wack. Jesus!! Would Getmziki ever post this track up here? You dissapointed me dude, I mean real dissapointed. Was expecting something heavy. Hata kama umetoka Coast, Gogo your 3 rhymes in swa hazishiki. Kweli wahenga walikufa na wakazikwa. I was damn right: you make Kenyans in Kansas look bad. Those who told me NO, were right. It’s not worth it and why waste my creative energy making songs to diss you. Appreciate that you have gained some attention/fame whatever you wanna call it. I swear even if I die and they rest me 6 feet under, AM STILL GONNA REMAIN BIGGER THAN YOU. Your courier will never ever ever blow up, try baking fortune cookies and I mean it in a positive way. I can see you have become a fan of my blogpage now (Web traffic tracker family). Kenyawood2 dropping on the 28.04.09. Download it family ni bure! You have the others anyway.
I want to take this opportunity to apoogise to all my fans/friends/getmziki and Dona. Gogo you will see more of my posts here, so I expect more hate entries from you. I really appreciate the hate. Keep up the good work.
I will post your “wack creativity” on my blogpage to create some hype for you. I would love to see you become a big artist one day i.e in the after life. And by the way, DJ Clap is my Europe Tour DJ based in Germany……..that is if you know what that is.
Would you be kind and record more K-Nel songs? Am loving the free promo.K-Nel

  21. Gogo says:

LOL knel! Did it hurt u that much? True I didn’t even need to mix that shit. I used my iphone to record no need of using my studio for your wackness! Kama bibi yako ni Malaya….. LOL on the same day u drop ur album am dropping single that’s better than ur two albums of blurb combined. Sawa gangster kutoka kiambu!!! Yeah Mombasa and the word is career not courier! LOL

  22. K-Nel says:

Damn family. I swear I wasn’t hurt. The Malaya line was weak. I can teach you about song formats, what a bar is etc. You need more people. This is where u sleep, eat and drink. Career? Thanks for correcting that, guess I was thinking loud in “Koelsch”. All the best with your single. Finally the world will hear “wackness”. Lakini usitumie Iphone…..who are u fooling? So even the 2 songs on your Myspace site were recorded using “an Iphone?”.Who cares?

  23. gogo says:

heheh K-nel you are giving up so quick and thanks for the compliment about my swahili but your english is pathetic…and i think you should just give up! and funny thing is that the people that matter are rocking to the song! and dude you just ordered yourself a plateful of whoop ass and more its the on way even as you chicken out!

  24. jigger says:

    Roddy iz thiz nice?

  25. Davy says:

K-Nell and Gogo how about a collabo mazee…we rappers is suppose to be role models so wats rally gud!! Acheni ukuku mazee

    Hii song iko poa

  26. gogo says:

    BACK TO THE MUSIC
    K-NEL,
If you submit your song to a website for review and especially a website with a comments section..BE AWARE THAT NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOUR MUSIC, AND DESPITE THE FACT YOU THIK YOU ARE GOD’S GIFT TO THE MUSICAL WORLD, EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION! SO LEAVE YOUR DIVA ATTITUDE AT HOME AND AS ONE CONTRIBUTOR SAID, HUMBLE YOURSELF!
I LIKE BAMBOO I THINK HE IS A RESPECTABLE ARTIST BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I SHOULD LIKE EACH AND EVERY SONG HE MAKES. I BOUGHT HIS COMPILATION FROM SNOCAP AND I THINK THE SONGS HE DID WITH GC ESPECIALLY ‘SUNGLASSES’ ARE AMAZING SONGS. (ASK HIM, HE HAD TO EMAIL ME THAT TRACK SINCE THAT TRACK WAS MESSED UP ON SNOCAP,THANKS AGAIN BAMBOO!) BUT IF HE MAKES MUSIC THAT I DONT LIKE I WILL SAY IT AND VOICE MY OPINION BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT MUSIC REVIEWING AND HIP HOP IS ALL ABOUT, ITS FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND YOU DONT SEE HIM BRINGING HIS DJS ON TO FIGHT HIS BATTLES!

  27. DJ Clap says:

Gogo again? Posting tzhe same comments again? Damn! You are really desparate son. Can’t you see this is a Klepto Post? Ohhhh I get it. The truth is getting you confused, mixed up, hahahahaha!
