I’ve always been turned on by hoodfiggas – Its never been a secret. There is something hot and sexy about a chile from Eastlands who knows how to katia you in sheng… I don’t know how many people will feel me on this vibe but for what its worth anyone who has ever dated or darted a hoodfigga knows what am talking about. Any chile called Susi, or Joy, or Stella or Aggie!! is definitely a hoodfigga and a ride of its kind. Any chile called CHOKU is definitely a chile I would like to spend a few days with just vibing.
Choku and Rat a tat were both in the Calif Records camp a while back. Its my understanding that they both left and have been pursuing separate careers under different management and different producers. The last Choku track I posted was called Vitu na like, which was produced by the same cat who put this track together – Maich Blaq and the Herbalist. Looking at Maich Blaqs Facebook page and the massive collection of hits I think its safe to say there is some talent brewing behind these duos production skills. Funny enough before this track landed on my laps, I was busy trying to get my hands on a track called data by a new artist called Proff. Today I realize that, that particular track is another Maich Blaq & The Herbalist production.
I am not so sure about this Slow Ride track, Choku’s vocals seem to have been worked on quite a bit. The beat is heavy and definitely tight but I am not sure if I woulda given Choku this beat. I think Choku needs to stay on the “vitu nina like” type of beats. Anything fast paced where she sounds more like she is conversating rather than singing. I personally listen to her material for lyrical content and not necessarily vocal capacities.

Hey, am I the only one having problems downloading music using the computer as a device. I was unable to do so with the habida song and the same thing is happening with this slow ride song. I’v tried using both firefox and IE and get the same problem. With firefox if I click on the doc nothing happens, but if I right click on the doc and click on save as, it downloads but I get a doc with 0 bytes. As with IE, I get an error msg that the requested site cannot be found or is unavailable. Any suggestions Getmziki?
The GetMziki Download service is managed by Windows SkyDrive (http://skydrive.live.com/) which is our music storage service. What this allows you to do is click on the big music icon on this page and go to another page where you can click the song and the download should start automatically. Similarly you can embed the file elsewhere if need be.
Since this is a recurring question with many of our users we will post some instructions on how to go about downloading Skydrive stored files vs GetMziki local storage files (you know the ones you have to right click to save target as)
For now I would suggest just make sure you are clicking that huge music icon under “download track here:” – if that doesnt take you to another page please let us know.

getmziki, as u’v described, this is how i and am sure many have bn downloading music from the skydrive website and when at times u click on that download icon and it erroneously takes u to a quick time page where the song plays instead of downloading u can always go back and right click on the embedded icon to save as target to download the music. the problem seems to be with last two songs uploaded ie choku and habida’s song. whichever way i try to download the song (this is on the skydrive page and not getmziki) i’m not successful
leo do your research,vitu na like is a rat a tat and choku song and both are Produced by maich black and k-rupt’s lil bro,another fact is that prof is not a new cat he’s been on the grind for close to a decade now ask anyone who used to go f2 jam back when babu used to dj there kid started as a dancer
Whoever wrote the “critique” on this post, I hope you are not trying to suggest that Choku is a “hoodfigga”. If you are, then I don’t know where you get that impression. Rat-a-tat? Maybe (I don’t know her personally). Choku? Hell no! (I know her personally!). Choku ni babi mwenyewe kutoka Nairobi West with the “I kujad to ur diggz but I dint pata you” type of talking. And Choku worked with Maich Blaq way before she went to Calif back when Vicky (Maich’s real name) was working at South-West Records. She then left for Calif records and word on the street was that Clemo was taking forever to release their (now with Rat) tracks so she returned to work with Maich Blaq when Maich teamed up with Mwax (the herbalist’s pet name). So yeah, just a little enlightening for you if you do not mind. U welcome!
Whats up with the odedes (grashoppers) on the video? On a scale of 1- 10, 10 being the best i give the song a 3 no offence. In regards to the eastlands issue I think Buru does the whole kerea and I saw anaa tenee pandaing anaa mat on my way to kamata pints. Maybe Choku comes out a an eastlands chick who can bonga sheng ingine noma na ukicheza upigwe ngeta. once again no offence to Eastlands cicks I got nothing but love for them.

I agree its obvious we dont know much about Choku like the rest of you seem to know her very well, however based off the information readily available off the internet we quoted things as they are… The rest is perception and opinion..
