We featured Khaligraph Jones as part of the 2012 Freshman class, and from the look of things his slowly building that catalog that will work wonders for him once he gets that breakthrough single. Unlike artists who come in the game with a great single and look for that body of work to support the single, Khaligraph already has the body of work. 2chainz said it really well. “I noticed when people get in the game they come with the song then they gotta come with a body of work to complement the song. With me, I had the body of work, I just had to come up with the song.”
He’s currently promoting and pushing his latest mixtape “The Khaligraph Jones Chronicles” and from what I’ve heard so far, he’s upped his lyric game and his records show a definite growth.
Is “The Best” Khaligraph Jones breakthrough single. Only time will tell. Honestly I think that this song will help his music soar out there more. It’s the kind of track that will do well in the streets with the hip hop fans like me, but find it hard being a club record. Khaligraph Jones sums “The best” well when he says that “Kwa Hip hop mimi ndio huwa MVP”
