We recently got this track from superproducer Wawesh. The press release really summarizes the track perfectly. Annette Kawira, an upcoming artiste popular for her Nonini collaborated Pole Pole hit is still in shock after coming face-to-face with the Westgate Mall attackers on Saturday morning. The singer was at the prestigious modern shopping mall when the attackers stormed in shooting in all directions.
“It was such an horrific experience. It was so shaking. I was lucky to find refuge inside the Nakumatt store together with 20 others who were later rescued with me,”
“I thank God that I am alive and join other Kenyan in mourning with those bereaved,” she added.
This song is about hope and finding comfort during and passed trials and hardship in life. It was originally written for the upcoming MAHABA Album and now in dedication and tribute to the events that took place in Kenya and the Westgate Mall where Annette Kawira also found her self and having to flee from the attackers.
