For this week, mixtape Fridays, I wanted to showcase the Top 5 records in Africa as tallied by Radio Express “The African Chart”.
According to the website, “The Africa Chart creates a context for African pop performers to compete directly with world renowned artists for chart supremacy. Fed by reports from dozens of leading radio stations across Africa, the chart encourages international support of Africa’s best”.
The chart has tons of tracks from worldwide artists, but we will only feature the tracks from Africa . Big Ups to P-Unit for having the # 1 record in Africa with “KaRe”
For the week of September 25, 2010, the top 5 records in Africa were
1. P-Unit – KaRe (Kenya)
2. Freshly Ground – Fire Is low (South Africa)
3. 2Face – Only Me (Nigeria)
4. Mad Traxx – Get Down (Kenya)
5. Kas – Fimile Be (Nigeria)
We have already featured and have download links for P-Unit’s “KaRe” and Mad Traxx’s “Get Down”.
