We’ve been receiving some music from various artists and it’s only right if we showcase some of them.
Currently signed to Audio Kusini and based in Nairobi, he sent us his profile which I did a copy and paste as below.
Pewa was born 22 years ago and was raised in Western Kenya at Webuye. He attended St.Mary’s Kibabii in Bungoma. He started rapping back then while in high school. During those days, Pewa used to remix the already established artistes songs and then perform during schools functions. After high school, he joined Audio Kusini Studios which is located at Kahawa Wendani along Thika Road. It’s under the management of Audio Kusini that Pewa has managed to release four tracks; Mwisho WA Mwezi, Kijiji Na Jiji, Nipeni Kura Zenu and recently Cheza Kinanda. He is also set to release more singles and collaborations soon.
Accorinng to Pewa ”Bandia” is a swahili word for fake! I have used the word to adress various fake stuff within our community,eg friends, pastors and even politicians, while the second single Nipeni Kura Zenu talks about whack politicians”.
The tracks I’ve heard so far from Pewa show potential. He can definitely craft great hooks and he’s chosen decent beats so far. My own opinion is that he’s He just has to find his lane and stick with it.
Does Pewa have what it takes to make it in this competitive music industry.
